WHERE: Cruises departing the East shore of Cayuga Lake from Aurora pick up and drop off at the Aurora Inn dock, located at 391 Main Street, Aurora NY 13026. The dock is directly behind the Aurora Inn parking lot, on the south (LEFT) side of the Old Stone Mill Ruins. It is a large wooden dock with white post caps. The Aurora Village Park is next door, providing tables and benches to enjoy while waiting for the boat to arrive. Parking is available at the Inn parking lot (between Village Market and Post Office) or on the street. When facing the lake, take the stairs on the south (LEFT) side of parking lot, behind the Post Office, to reach the dock and Village Park.

Cruises departing the West shore of Cayuga Lake from Romulus pick up and drop off at Dean’s Cove Boat Launch, located at 5761 State Route 89, Romulus NY 14541. It is paid parking, so please pull down to the boat launch area to get your ticket from the green box on your left before parking in the lot above. A set of stairs is available at the lakeside end of the parking lot to get back down to the dock.

WE DO NOT PICK UP FROM BIANCONI TOURS BOAT DOCKS AT 403 MAIN STREET

WHEN: Passengers should arrive ten minutes prior to scheduled departure.  We begin boarding five minutes prior to departure. See the Sunset Schedule at the bottom of our ‘Tours’ page as departure times change weekly throughout the summer. To maintain our tight daily schedule, the boat will depart on time as scheduled. No exceptions.

EXAMPLE: For the 1:00pm Wineries By Water Cruise departing Aurora- be at the Aurora Inn dock / Village Park by 12:50pm, board at 12:55pm, depart at 1:00pm.

We offer a Cheese & Fruit plate, available for purchase when making your online reservation. We discourage guests from bringing their own food onboard due to weather conditions, tour schedules, and boat maintenance. You are welcome to bring a beverage of choice including a bottle of local wine or craft beer on our Sunset Celebration. Beverages will be available for purchase at stops on our winery cruises. Consumption of alcohol is allowed onboard in moderation. However, liquor will not be permitted on the boat. We provide coolers, ice and bottled water. Therefore, we do not allow passengers to bring hard coolers onboard.

No pets are allowed onboard.

Proper clothing is important on the lake. Keep in mind that the water temperature is often lower than the air temperature, making it cooler on the lake than on land. This is particularly true in spring and fall. We recommend you bring a sweatshirt or wind breaker on all cruises. Please check the forecast and dress appropriately to ensure a comfortable day on the lake. Don’t forget the sunscreen and your camera.

Our Cayuga Lake winery tours depart both the East shore from Aurora and West shore from Romulus to reach some of the very few boat accessible wineries in the world. Lakeshore winery is located furthest to the north. Heading south along the western shore, we find the wineries at Goose Watch, Thirsty Owl, and Sheldrake Point. Returning to the eastern shore, we find Long Point Winery with shuttle service from the lake to their vineyard. In all we cover more than 15 miles of water on a typical tour. A 4 1/4 hour cruise provides time to visit up to 3 wineries comfortably with roughly 2 hours at the wineries and 2 hours on the boat. We make all reservations in advance to ensure a smooth day of wine tasting by water. Weekday visits offer the most relaxed experience.

Wine touring by boat requires the ability to offload/board at each winery and some walking from the dock to the tasting room. Please let us know of any mobility issues in advance.

Rates are per person and do not include tasting fees. Typical tasting fees are quite reasonable at $5 – $12 per person. Many of the wineries in the region offer wines for purchase averaging between $15 – $25 per bottle.

If you are spending time in and around Aurora, we suggest you visit Quarry Ridge, Heart & Hands, Treleaven, Bright Leaf, and Long Point wineries, all within 10 minutes of the village. And don’t forget to visit the guys at Aurora Brewing Company, right next door to Long Point Winery!

Our tip for the perfect day of Wining and Dining from Aurora:

12pm – Lunch at the Fargo Bar & Grill

1:00pm – 5:15pm Cayuga Lake winery cruise with Bianconi Tours

6pm – Dinner at Aurora Brewing, Treleaven Winery, or Dugans Country Grill

Our tour boats offer all US Coast Guard required equipment to ensure a safe day on the lake. A brief review of safety procedures will be provided at the beginning of your cruise.

Boat coolers are stocked with ice, and bottled water is available at no charge. All online food orders require at least 24-hour advance notice, and are delivered to the boats daily. Your food order is available upon request throughout your tour. We also provide cups and a wine opener for your convenience.

The boats provide rain and wind protection. Sun and shade options are made possible with the flexibility of two bimini tops. There are no restroom facilities on the boats. Please plan accordingly for our 1-hour history and 1.5-hour sunset cruises. Our 4-hour winery cruise provides restroom visits at the wineries, with not more than 30 minutes on the boat between stops.

Our pontoon boats provide three spacious seating areas. The configuration is perfect for couples that wish to lounge on their own, or groups that want to get cozy. The pontoon boat provides ease of ingress and egress via two 7-inch steps onto a flat carpeted deck. However, this boat is not ADA compliant, so passengers must possess the ability to board and offload safely.

Our 23-foot Chris Craft ‘Little Dipper’ is a very rare American Classic. This fiberglass mid-engine V-Hull boat offers an open bow and comfortable seating for 6 passengers behind the captain. This gentleman’s launch provides the ability to move more quickly across the water for custom private charters. This boat requires guest ability to step in/out of boat at the dock. Please let us know of any mobility issues in advance.

Call 617-874-7353 with questions or to discuss any special needs.

Due to limited seating and the nature of our seasonal business, guest-initiated cancellations will not be refunded. Based on availability, we do allow reservation rescheduling or can provide a Gift Card with at least seven days notice prior to cruise. Call 617-874-7353 to make arrangements.

We at Bianconi Tours are committed to providing a safe and comfortable cruise experience. To ensure the safety of our passengers, your captain will evaluate weather and mechanical conditions daily. We reserve the right to cancel tours based on this assessment. All tour boats are equipped with full canopy tops and drop down side curtains, so rain is rarely an issue. We are always following the forecast. If we are concerned with storms/wind/waves you will be notified at least 24 hours in advance about the possibility of cancellation. We will do our best to accommodate you at another time. In the event that your cruise is canceled and you are not able to reschedule, a full refund will be provided.

On a bright sunny day, a wooden dock jets out over calm lake waters. At the end of the pier, a pontoon boat with a green canopy sits.
